Mission Statement
Breaking Down Walls While Building Up People
At St. Paul Union American Methodist Church we believe that God has called his people to live fruitful and blessed lives. But with so much going on in the world today, God's people have found themselves stressed out, beaten down, and without any hope to hold onto. People's pasts have kept them hurting and locked in a cave of despair with no joy or happiness to cling to.
But Jesus says in John 10:10" The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am cometh that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
We take our purpose very seriously, and we believe that by beginning to teach, exhort, and encourage people to hold on to God's promises that he has given in his word, we can begin to break down the walls that have been keeping them from reaching a place of peace and contentment in Christ Jesus!
It is our vision that St. Paul UAME will become a church where people who are broken, struggling, and in need of change can come and feel like they can make it! I envision a church where those who have been written off by society, or even written themselves off can come and begin a journey of finding there true purpose. This church will one day become a magnet to those seeking answers that the world can no longer provide. As we grow together, we will become a church full of members who will offer hope to our family and friends as well as anyone we come in contact with.
We will begin to break down walls while building people up!
